No Lights No Lycra Pilbara

“See you (not see you) in the dark soon” – Marni xx

Dance in the dark. No judgment. No performance. Just joy.

No Lights No Lycra is a worldwide freeform-dance movement — and I’m the Pilbara Ambassador.  We dance in the dark for an hour, however you want.  The most joyful, accessible way to feel something shift — completely free.  Click on the links to find out more…

what actually happens

no lights no lycra pilbara is exactly what it sounds like… the lights go off, the music goes on, and for one hour you get to move however feels good. no steps to learn, no one watching, no mirrors judging you back.

it’s not a class. it’s not a workout (although I can’t guarantee you won’t sweat it out). it’s not even really an “event” in the traditional sense… it’s just a room full of people choosing to feel something for an hour, together, in the dark.

who it’s for

it’s for the person who hasn’t done something just for themselves in months. the woman who misses dancing but not the dodgy blokes at the club, or the drink you needed to feel free enough to move. the person who swears they “can’t dance” but has never actually tried it in a room with zero witnesses. the regular who just needs a Tuesday reset.

you don’t need rhythm. you don’t need a partner. you don’t even need to know what you’re doing. you just need to show up.

what to wear

whatever you want… trackies, an old tee, your comfiest leggings, pyjama pants if that’s your vibe. some people wear lycra, some don’t. the name’s a nod to the no-pressure feeling, not a dress code.
